Description of service
The Wireless Internet Line service is a fixed line service (for this «FIXED») only data with a peak rate of 30 Mbit / s downstream and 15 Mbit / s upstream, on the TIM mobile network in LTE technology.
The service is provided exclusively to the addresses published in the OAO reserved area of the Wholesale portal under the heading "WILL Service (WIreLess Internet Line)". The service is released from the supply to the final customer of a copper or fiber optic network.
In particular, the elements that make up the Service are:
It will be the Operator's responsibility to verify and ensure that the infrastructure of the end customer is suitable for the installation of outdoor and indoor CPE antennas. If the TIM technician finds it impossible to perform this installation, the order will be closed without realization. The Operator is responsible for informing the end customer that the installation could involve infrastructural work for antenna assembly and cable passage, such infrastructural interventions are at the Operator's expense.
The following figure describes the service architecture:
Network architecture– WIreLess internet Line
For the IP traffic of end customers, the Operator maintains full management of the relationship with them in terms of Authentication, Authorization, Accounting (AAA) through its own Radius server.
The IP addressing of the end customer must be provided by the Operator and communicated to TIM upon signing the contract and configured by TIM on its own network. IPV4 protocol support is guaranteed, IPV6 protocol support is not guaranteed.
The service does not include services such as e-mail domains, mail servers, computer security services (eg spam filters for end customers). These features and services must be made available by the Operator.
The service coverage contains the list of addresses served by Telecom Italia. For each address a unique coding is given, called customer EGON code, corresponding to an address present in the NetMap toponymy database and the descriptive information of the province, municipality, parcel, street and civic.
The list will be integrated with subsequent publications, until all the addresses provided are gradually available. The update will be formalized with special news. (Covers).
For the purpose of authenticating end customers, the Operator must ensure that their Radius server can be reached via the Internet using a static public IP address.
It is the Operator's responsibility to verify and ensure that the infrastructure of the end customer is suitable for the installation of outdoor and indoor CPE antennas. The Operator is responsible for informing the end customer that the installation could involve infrastructural work for antenna assembly and cable passage, such infrastructural interventions are at the Operator's expense.
The WILL service provides, for each access, a monthly flat fee and a one-off installation fee with the sending of the TIM technician to the domicile of the end customer of the Operator.
