Primary and/or Secondary Local Access Network Optical Fiber
TIM offers Operators transfer of Rights of Use (IRU mode) for their Optical Fiber carriers in the Local Access Network, already installed but not yet used; the Offer, which has a duration of 5, 10, 15 or 20 years, also includes the ordinary maintenance service of the Optical Fiber.
The Parties agree that, when the Operator accepts the IRU procedure, the Optical Fiber for which the rights are transferred will remain the property of TIM.
Who can use the service?
This is a TIM offer addressed to Operators who intend to replicate TIM's local access network, or complete their own, without having to build the laying infrastructure and therefore without duplicating existing infrastructure and fiber.
Description of the service
The service consists of the transfer of the Rights of Use (IRU), for a period of 5, 10, 15 or 20 years, on Optical Fiber in the Local Access Network, both in the Primary and Secondary networks, owned by TIM, already installed but not yet used.
The service includes the activation and sale of Optical Fiber Connections and ordinary maintenance activities.
The access service to Primary Network Optical Fiber is offered on TIM's NGAN FTTCab and FTTH networks. The access service to Secondary Network Optical Fiber is offered on TIM's NGAN FTTH network.
The service consists of the supply of a single connection consisting of Optical Fiber released at the access points built by TIM for this purpose.
The Optical Fiber in the NGAN Access Network are released by TIM between the following access points:
There are no plans to transfer Optical Fiber to points in the network other than those described above.
In particular, any Operator may request:
There is no provision for the transfer of Optical Fiber for connections other than those indicated (e.g. a connection between two OTPs).
In case of available space, the first POT will generally be placed directly inside the existing Street Pit/Manhole where the Optical Nodal Centre (ONC) is already located (case of POT 'without Mini Street Pit'), otherwise, the first POT will be placed inside a Mini Street Pit, to be built together with the related connection infrastructure, at the ONC (case of ONC 'with Mini Street Pit').
Technical supply conditions
The service is provided following a request from the Operator and a Feasibility Study (FS) carried out by TIM, which takes into account the availability of the required Optical Fiber. The service is not provided when, downstream of the FS, Optical Fiber are found to be unavailable.
The Operator may request the following additional services:
The economic conditions relating to the transfer, in IRU mode, of Optical Fiber connections in Primary or Secondary Access Network, including the Ordinary Maintenance service, are as follows:
For the additional services described above, if requested by the Operator, TIM applies respectively:
