Who can use the service?
Wholesale TIM's “Backhauling Mobile Over Ethernet” wholesale service represents the effective and high quality response to the growing demand from Operators to transport voice and data traffic from their radio antennae to their network PoPs and is based on TIM's Ethernet network which is capable of ensuring differentiated traffic quality.
Backhauling Mobile Over Ethernet includes, in a single solution, guaranteed bandwidth capacity (C.I.R.: Committed Information Rate) and a wide range of speeds and service profiles commensurate to the throughput required by the Ethernet application of the Operator.
Description of the service
The service allows the Operator to transport voice and data traffic from its radio antennae to its network PoPs and is based on TIM's Ethernet network which is capable of ensuring differentiated traffic quality.
The service is comprised of connections with fibre optic access and transport over the packet network of TIM (OPM network). OPM transport takes place through the creation of s-VLANs compliant with the standard 802.1ad delivered to the Operator through the interconnection kit to its site. Upon the Operator's request, compliance with the standard QinQ (802.1q) can be optionally provided.
