Easy IP ADSL
Who can use the service?
This is a TIM's wholesale offer aimed at Operators who wish to approach the broadband Internet access market at a gradual pace and who wish to limit the investments, also acquiring IP bandwidth from TIM.
Description of the service
The EASY IP ADSL service integrates the Bitstream service with the IP bandwidth.
The Operator may ask TIM to activate ADSL accesses with downstream speeds of up to 20 Mbit/s at the premises of its end users. The access can be provided both on a dedicated “naked” line (ADSL access on a physical line without RTG/ISDN/WLR telephony) and on a “shared” line (ADSL access on a physical line where there is a RTG/ISDN/WLR telephony service). The EASY IP ADSL service is currently available on the ATM Bitstream platform and, for Operators who have requested it, on the Ethernet Bitstream platform too. The network architecture is illustrated in the diagram below. The EASY IP ADSL service integrates the Bitstream service with IP delivery by interconnection to the remote IP node (B-NAS router) and provides the following capabilities:

The service is available in two options:
The geographic coverage of the service is based on the ATM ADSL Bitstream platform and, for Operators who have requested it, on the Ethernet Bitstream platform too (geographical coverage). Information on the geographic coverage is updated weekly.
The geographic coverage reaches around 97% of the telephone lines for ADSL services of up to 7 Mbit/s and around 62% of telephone lines for ADSL services of up to 20 Mbit/s (objective values for the end of 2012, including the lines served by equipment and disregarding the distance from the relevant exchange).
Limited to the Base and Plus options, Operators who need to locate their equipment at TIM's premises in order to set up the interconnection transmission links must request the“Co-location” service from TIM Wholesale in advance. Operators who intend to request the supply of interconnection connections from TIM Wholesale must first sign up for the Interconnect Flow offer.
The Special Profile option does not require preparatory services.
The EASY IP offer has a price structure capable of making the costs incurred by the Operator variable, which will therefore follow the growth of the customer base acquired, minimizing the initial fixed costs. This structure is based on two key elements:
